It was featured in the Governments plans for the railway in November 2017[1] and in July 2018 further details were revealed as part of the Connecting Leeds Vision[2] with the consultation inviting opinions from the general public.[3] The proposed station would serve the White Rose Centre and the Millshaw Business Park,[4] and its location would be {{convert|750|m|order=flip}} south of {{rws|Cottingley}} railway station.
