}}Win Radio is a network of radio stations broadcasting in the Philippines. It is owned by ZimZam Management, Inc., led by radio veteran and executive Manuelito "Manny" Luzon. [1]

Unlike its major rivals such as My Only Radio, Love Radio, or Barangay FM; Win Radio does not have its own stations, instead it buys airtime from third-party networks. Its flagship station is DWKY 91.5 in Manila, owned by Mabuhay Broadcasting System (MBSI), with 4 key provincial stations owned by Progressive Broadcasting Corporation (PBC).

History

From 1987 - 2010, Win Radio was known as NU 107, a popular radio station that plays mainly rock music and known to promote Original Pilipino Music. During its last years on air, NU 107 experienced financial constraints and poor ratings. Eventually, the station's owners Progressive Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) decided to reformat the station and inject new capital. On October 10, 2010, radio veteran Manuelito "Manny" Luzon was appointed EVP and COO of PBC and announced the shutdown of NU 107 on November 7, 2010. On the following day, November 8, DWNU is rebranded as 107.5 Win Radio. PBC provincial radio counterparts followed suit in January - March 2011.

Luzon originally coined the name "Love Radio" for DZMB in the 80s. Since 2002, it retained its #1 spot among Metro Manila stations. Eventually, he formed UBSI in 1991, created and popularized Energy FM in key provinces beginning in 1996. In 2003, Energy took over DWKY in Manila, immediately becoming a household sensation and in 2008 reaching as far as #2 among Metro Manila stations.

Reformatted as a "more decent mainstream frequency", it distinguishes itself from its competitors through "responsible programming" without playing songs "with double meaning" as is the structure for the masa market.[2][3] Just four months after its debut, it landed at #7 according to the March 2011 KBP Radio Research Council survey.

To expand its coverage, DWKY 91.5 FM reformatted as 91.5 Big Radio in June 1, 2011, serving as affiliate of Win Radio (the Henares family, owners of PBC, acquired 25% minority share of 91.5 FM operator Mabuhay Broadcasting System). Big Radio and Win Radio shares studios at the AIC Gold Tower, F. Ortigas Jr. Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City; and ties together in promotion, including singing competition "The Win-Big Singing Talent Search". At its peak, Big Radio ranked #3 in the FM radio ratings according to the March 2012 KBP Radio Research Council survey.

On June 28, 2014, Win Radio had transferred to 91.5 FM after leaving 107.5 FM on June 26, effective ending the 91.5 Big Radio brand. Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International, PBC's television affiliate and operator of UNTV, decided to occupy the 107.5 frequency and relaunch the station as Wish 1075. Nonetheless, PBC provincial stations still carries Win Radio.

After transfer to 91.5 FM, Win Radio studios transferred at the Summit One Tower, in Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City. It also sold its early morning airtime to General Santos City-based Brigada Mass Media Corporation (making Win Radio as an unofficial affiliate of Brigada News FM, since its Luzon flagship station is based in Batangas City, instead of Metro Manila due to frequency spacing regulations) to promote its Brigada Healthline products.
