HistoryXHTVY-FM received its concession on September 24, 1992, promptly changing its callsign to the current XHMIA-FM. It was owned by Arturo Iglesias y Villalobos. In 2010, XHMIA was transferred to Multimedia del Sureste, owned jointly by Iglesias y Villalobos and José Laris Iturbide of Cadena RASA, though it is not part of RASA's Yucatán cluster.
