The Yakovlev Yak-35MV was a low-altitude tactical fighter / interceptor project of the Soviet Union from the late 1950s, which suffered from a lack of funding, in the wake of the expected total reliance on guided missiles in the near future. In addition to financial problems, the engines were found to be under-developed and the project failed to progress further than the drawing board.[1] Design and developmentThe initial design was for a single-engined low-altitude interceptor for interceptions between {{cvt|200|and|10000|m}}.This was refined to a twin-engined tactical fighter-bomber with a take-off weight of {{cvt|15000|kg}}, carrying a weapon load of {{cvt|2000|kg}}.[1] Specifications (Yak-35MV estimated) {{Aircraft specs |ref=OKB Yakovlev[1] |prime units?=met |genhide= |crew=1 |capacity= |length m= |length ft= |length in= |length note= |span m= |span ft= |span in= |span note= |upper span m= |upper span ft= |upper span in= |upper span note= |mid span m= |mid span ft= |mid span in= |mid span note= |lower span m= |lower span ft= |lower span in= |lower span note= |swept m= |swept ft= |swept in= |swept note= |dia m= |dia ft= |dia in= |dia note= |width m= |width ft= |width in= |width note= |height m= |height ft= |height in= |height note= |wing area sqm= |wing area sqft= |wing area note= |swept area sqm= |swept area sqft= |swept area note= |volume m3= |volume ft3= |volume note= |aspect ratio= |airfoil= |empty weight kg= |empty weight lb= |empty weight note= |gross weight kg=15000 |gross weight lb= |gross weight note= |max takeoff weight kg= |max takeoff weight lb= |max takeoff weight note= |fuel capacity= |lift kg= |lift lb= |lift note= |more general=
