It is a densely-branched, hairy shrub with three-part, clover-like leaves and large groups of creamy-white to pink, four-petalled flowers. DescriptionZieria verrucosa many-branched, hairy shrub which grows to a height of {{convert|1.5|m|ft|sigfig=1|abbr=on}}. The leaves are composed of three narrow leaflets with the central one, {{convert|8-50|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|1-5|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} wide. The upper surface of the leaflets is dark green with scattered hairs and the lower surface is whitish and velvety-hairy. The leaves are covered with glands and many small lumps or tubercules and are strongly scented, especially when crushed. The flowers are arranged in the leaf axils in groups of up to 60 but the flowers are small and the groups are shorter than the leaves. The flowers are creamy-white to pink and {{convert|4-6|mm|in|sigfig=2|abbr=on}} in diameter. Flowering occurs between August and February and the fruits which follow are glabrous capsules with many glands.[1][2]Taxonomy and namingZieria verrucosa was first formally described in 2002 by James Armstrong and the description was published in Australian Systematic Botany.[3][4] The specific epithet (verrucosa) is a Latin word meaning "full of warts".[5]Distribution and habitatThis zieria is only known from a small area near Mundubbera where it grows in vine thicket, Eucalyptus crebra or ironbark woodland.[1][2] ConservationZieria verrucosa is listed as "Vulnerable" under the Commonwealth Government Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC) Act and under the Queensland Nature Conservation Act 1992. The main threats to the species are land clearing, cattle grazing and inappropriate fire regimes.[1][2]References1. ^1 2 {{cite web|title=Approved Conservation Advice for Zieria verrucosa|url=http://www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/threatened/species/pubs/56761-conservation-advice.pdf|publisher=Government of Australia Department of Environment|accessdate=28 October 2017}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q18082864}}2. ^1 2 {{cite web|title=Zieria verrucosa|url=https://wetlandinfo.ehp.qld.gov.au/wetlands/ecology/components/species/?zieria-verrucosa|publisher=Queensland Government Department of Environment and Heritage Protection|accessdate=28 October 2017}} 3. ^{{cite web|title=Zieria verrucosa|url= https://id.biodiversity.org.au/instance/apni/579590|publisher=APNI|accessdate=28 October 2017}} 4. ^{{cite journal|last1=Armstrong|first1=Jim A.|title=The genus Zieria (Rutaceae): a systematic and evolutionary study|journal=Australian Systematic Botany|date=2002|volume=15|issue=3|pages=456–457|doi=10.1071/SB00040}} 5. ^{{cite book|last1=Brown|first1=Roland Wilbur|title=The Composition of Scientific Words|date=1956|publisher=Smithsonian Institution Press|location=Washington, D.C.|page = 842}} 4 : Zieria|Sapindales of Australia|Flora of New South Wales|Plants described in 2002 |
