Édouard Axelrad (Paris, June 10, 1918) is a French writer. He was arrested because he was a Jew and was deported to Auschwitz. Thanks to his talent as a painter, a German official had mercy for him, and he was in a camp of Sachsenhausen until the end of the war, as he explains in his 1988 book Le Jaune.[1] Works
