The town is located on Highway #23 {{convert|14|km|mi|abbr=on}} west of the Pasquia Hills. Arborfield is approximately {{convert|54|km|mi|abbr=on}} from Nipawin, {{convert|53|km|mi|abbr=on}} from Tisdale, {{convert|266|km|mi|abbr=on}} from Saskatoon and {{convert|196|km|mi|abbr=on}} from Prince Albert. HistoryIn 1910, the town requested that it be named Fairfield, but that name was rejected by the post office in Ottawa. Because the offer was received on Arbor Day, the Post Office asked if the residents would accept Arborfield, which it did. As well, the town may have been named for Arborfield, England, the site of an engineering museum.[5] Demographics{{canada_census|2011_population=326 |2011_pop_delta=-0.9 |2011_land_area=0.88 |2011_pop_density=370.5 |2011_pop_rank= |2011_median_age=51.4 |2011_median_age_m=50.9 |2011_median_age_f=52.5 |2011_total_pvt_dwell=156 |2011_total_pvt_dwell_usual=144 |2011_mean_hh_income= |2011_access_date=2012-11-10 |2006_population=329 |2006_pop_delta=-20 |2006_land_area=0.88 |2006_pop_density=373.9 |2006_pop_rank=3,580th |2006_median_age=40.4 |2006_median_age_m=39.1 |2006_median_age_f=42.0 |2006_total_pvt_dwell=155 |2006_total_pvt_dwell_usual=139 |2006_mean_hh_income=33,429 |2006_access_date=2009-02-24 }} Education
