It is found in China and Hong Kong, in valley forests in Guangdong Province at an elevation of {{convert|300|to|800|m|ft}}. The leaves are long, narrow and pointed ({{convert|12|–|20|cm|in|disp=sqbr}}). The flowers are bent tubes from {{convert|10|–|15|cm|in}} long that grow from the base of a leaf.
