It is endemic to Venezuelan Andes near Cascada de Bailadores and Las Playitas in the Mérida state.[2] Its natural habitats are dry evergreen montane forests, where it lives along slow-flowing streams. The male protects the eggs that are laid on land. After hatching, the male carries the tadpoles on his back to water where they develop further.[1] Aromobates molinarii is threatened by habitat loss caused by intensive agriculture.[1]References1. ^1 2 {{IUCN2014.2| id = 55258| title = Aromobates molinarii| assessor = La Marca, E.| assessor2 = García-Pérez, J.E.| last-assessor-amp = yes| year = 2004| downloaded = 16 August 2014}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q4677644}}{{Amphibian-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |url=http://research.amnh.org/vz/herpetology/amphibia/Amphibia/Anura/Aromobatidae/Aromobatinae/Aromobates/Aromobates-molinarii |title=Aromobates molinarii (La Marca, 1985) |author=Frost, Darrel R. |year=2014 |work=Amphibian Species of the World: an Online Reference.
