It is found only in Australia. The preferred habitat of the mouse are areas of low heathland or scrubland with sandy soils.[2] These mice are well adapted to the desert environment; they are nocturnal and fossorial, have plugged entrances to burrows and huddle in groups to decrease evaporation rates.[3] Females give birth to litters of between two and six young after a gestation period of between 37 and 38 days.[2] References1. ^{{IUCN2008|assessor=Morris, K.|assessor2=Friend, T.|assessor3=Burbidge, A.|last-assessor-amp=yes|year=2008|id=18558|title=Pseudomys albocinereus|downloaded=10 October 2008}} 2. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://eol.org/pages/1179333/details|title=Pseudomys albocinereus - Ash-gray Pseudomys|accessdate=24 December 2015|publisher=Encyclopedia of Life}} 3. ^{{cite book|title=Arid Land Ecosystems: Volume 1: Structure, Functioning and Management|author=R.
