词条 | Balaclava Junction |
释义 |
It is the only surviving example of a grand union in the southern hemisphere. Adelaide previously had three grand unions, but none exist today.[1] Balaclava Junction dates from November 1913, originally being built by the Prahran & Malvern Tramways Trust, at the time it was the most complex junction on the network. It has been rebuilt a number of times since opening, most recently in 2005 by Yarra Trams.[1][2] Tram routes 3/3a, 16, and 64 all travel through Balaclava Junction.[3][4][5] References1. ^1 2 {{cite web|title=Grand Union Tramway Junction|url=http://vhd.heritage.vic.gov.au/vhd/heritagevic#detail_places;4732|work=Heritage Victoria|accessdate=26 October 2013}} 2. ^{{cite web|title=Tramlines Issue 3|url=http://issuu.com/yarratrams/docs/120814064507-0ffc1e0fa1b341819261f8a991cefdc3|work=Yarra Trams|accessdate=26 October 2013|date=May 2005}} 3. ^{{cite web|title=Route 3/3a|url=http://www.yarratrams.com.au/using-trams/route-guides/route-33a/|work=Yarra Trams|accessdate=26 October 2013}} 4. ^{{cite web|title=Route 16|url=http://www.yarratrams.com.au/using-trams/route-guides/route-16/|work=Yarra Trams|accessdate=26 October 2013}} 5. ^{{cite web|title=Route 64|url=http://www.yarratrams.com.au/using-trams/route-guides/route-64/|work=Yarra Trams|accessdate=26 October 2013}} External links{{commons category-inline}}{{coord|display=title|-37.87266|145.024717|type:landmark_region:AU-VIC}}{{MelbourneTramNavbox|state=collapsed}} 1 : Trams in Melbourne |
