GeographyBalarampur is located at {{Coord|23.12|N|86.22|E|}}.[1] It has an average elevation of {{convert|300|m|ft|0|abbr=on|lk=on}}. Distance from district headquarters Purulia is 32 km and near about 60 km from Jamshedpur. The area forms the lowest step of the Chota Nagpur Plateau. The general scenario is undulating land with scattered hills. Situated at South of the Ayodhya Hill Range.[2] Police stationBalarampur police station has jurisdiction over Balarampur CD Block. The area covered is 299.5 km2 and the population covered is 139,744.
