}}Bangladesh University (BU) ({{lang-bn|বাংলাদেশ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়}}) is a Non-profit, sectarian, private university located near the Jatiyo Sangshad Bhaban in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The university was established in 2001 under the Private University Act 1992.^[3] The university was established in 2001 by Quazi Azher Ali.^[4] He served as the founder president and first vice chancellor of the university during 2001-2009.^[5]
