The airport is located in the municipality of Santa Fe, approximately {{convert|3.9|nmi|km mi}} from the centre of Bantayan municipality. It is classified as a community airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). Since the beginning of 2018 the management of the airport has move from CAAP to Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA). StructureBantayan Airport is a small community airstrip with a paved runway but no services (no fuel). The largest handling capacity is something like a Dash{{nbhyph}}7. The concrete runway is approximately {{convert|2950|ft|order=flip|abbr=on|round=10}} long and {{convert|140|ft|order=flip|abbr=on|round=10}} wide, as well as a small terminal.
