Common names include Texasplume,[2] Anacacho orchid tree, and pata de vaca. It is a small deciduous tree growing to 4 m tall. The leaves are 2–5 cm long and broad, rounded, and bilobed at the base and apex. The flowers are small, white or (rarely) pink, with five petals. The fruit is a pod. Though limited in range in the wild, it has become increasingly available in nurseries.[3] References1. ^{{GRIN | accessdate=2010-10-21}} 2. ^{{PLANTS|id=BALU|taxon=Bauhinia lunarioides|accessdate=22 January 2016}} 3. ^{{cite web |url=http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/ornamentals/nativeshrubs/bauhinialunarioid.htm |title=Anacacho Orchid Tree Bauhinia lunarioides (B. congesta) |work=Benny Simpson's Texas Native Shrubs |publisher=Texas A&M University |accessdate=2010-10-21}} External links{{commonscat-inline|Bauhinia lunarioides|Bauhinia lunarioides}}{{Wikispecies-inline|Bauhinia lunarioides|Bauhinia lunarioides}}{{Taxonbar|from=Q4873500}}{{Caesalpinioideae-stub}} 5 : Bauhinia|Plants described in 1878|Trees of Coahuila|Trees of Nuevo León|Trees of the South-Central United States |
