HistoryThe school was opened August 21, 1952 and named in honor of Edward Dominic Fenwick, first Roman Catholic Bishop of Cincinnati. The first principal was Rev. Julian Krusling. Due to outgrowing the original site, the school moved on November 20, 1962 to Manchester Road in Middletown. The growth continued and in September 2004 the school moved to a new campus, on State Road 122 on the east side of Middletown. AcademicsThe curriculum is accredited by the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association. Curriculum levels are Advanced College Preparatory study, College Preparatory and General Studies. Clubs and activities[4]Fenwick offers many clubs including:
AthleticsFenwick's sports teams are sanctioned by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. The boys teams compete in the Greater Catholic League. The girls teams compete in the Girls' Greater Cincinnati League. In 2015, the Boys' Football team went 13-1 with a loss to Columbus Bishop Hartley in the Division IV State Semifinals. Going 10-0 in the regular season, it was the second undefeated team in Fenwick history, and the first undefeated/untied team in school history. Coach Joe Snively was named AP Coach of the Year for Division IV in Ohio. On the way to their 13-1 season, Fenwick defeated rivals Alter and Badin during the regular season, as well as defeating both in the playoffs. With beating Alter in 2012 and twice in 2015, this was the first senior class to have a winning record against Alter since joining the GCL in 2006. Fenwick was also crowned AP State Champions after finishing the regular season ranked #1 in Division IV. Fenwick offers the following fall sports:
