He has experienced hearing loss since childhood and remains deaf in one ear.[1] He worked for one season as the defensive line coach for the University of Central Florida Knights, and previously played for the Indianapolis Colts, the Green Bay Packers, and the San Diego Chargers.[2] Blaise is now an inspirational speaker, {{Citation needed|date=September 2007}} visiting high school football programs in the Midwest. He has recently visited Menominee High school, and junior high school in Menominee Michigan. He has inspired many Aces. Winter is the nephew of the Austrian-American intellectual Ernst Florian Winter.{{Citation needed|date=February 2012}} Blaise has most recently visited Wayland Cohocton High School in Wayland, NY in April 2017.
