CareerRoca started his playing career at Oldham Athletic, and made his senior debut on August 2003 in the Division Two defeat at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.[4] After manager Iain Dowie moved on to Crystal Palace, Roca played little first-team football. He was released at the end of the season, and moved on to Carlisle United working under Paul Simpson.[5] Roca played regularly at first,[6] but was unable to force his way back into the first team after a knee injury. He spent a month on loan at fellow Conference club Northwich Victoria, and after Carlisle won promotion back to the Football League, he was released.[7][8] He then joined Northwich on a permanent contract, and helped them win the 2005–06 Conference North title and reach the semi-final of the 2006–07 FA Trophy.[17][9] Transfer-listed in July 2007,[10] he was expected to join Droylsden but instead signed for Stalybridge Celtic.[11] He moved on to Altrincham before the end of the season,[12] and then joined FC United of Manchester. Roca spent five years at FC United, making over 200 appearances for the club in all competitions.[13] After a brief spell at Chorley,[14] he spent the second half of the 2013–14 season in the Welsh Premier League with Rhyl.[15] References1. ^1 2 {{Hugman|17004|accessdate=13 August 2016}} 2. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.stalybridgeceltic.co.uk/player.php?code=ROCAC&start=2007-05-31&end=2017-05-31&comp=CN |title=Carlos Roca |publisher=talybridge Celtic F.C. |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 3. ^{{soccerbase season|35716|2007|accessdate=13 August 2016}} 4. ^1 {{soccerbase season|35716|2003|accessdate=13 August 2016}} 5. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/Roca-in-but-Andrews-stalls-on-United-deal-91487706-c9f8-4011-8166-df93c961087a-ds |title=Roca in but Andrews stalls on United deal |first=Lee |last=Rowcroft |newspaper=News & Star |location=Carlisle |date=14 May 2004 |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 6. ^1 2 {{soccerbase season|35716|2004|accessdate=13 August 2016}} 7. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/United-loan-star-shines-for-Vics-b2891f05-db42-4ae4-810b-0eac76d85aa5-ds |title=United loan star shines for Vics |first=Lee |last=Rowcroft |newspaper=News & Star |location=Carlisle |date=22 February 2005 |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 8. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/Play-off-hero-Murphy-mulls-over-new-contract-05a42fce-ba1e-44bd-961b-46f721ee9e4b-ds |title=Play-off hero Murphy mulls over new contract |first=Lee |last=Rowcroft |newspaper=News & Star |location=Carlisle |date=20 May 2005 |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 9. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/harriers-heroes-in-wait-for-wembley-38784 |title=Harriers heroes in wait for Wembley |first=Nick |last=Pullen |newspaper=Birmingham Mail |date=19 March 2007 |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 10. ^1 {{cite news |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/northwich_victoria/6905159.stm |title=Roca transfer-listed by Northwich |publisher=BBC Sport |date=18 July 2007 |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 11. ^{{cite news |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/northwich_victoria/6951135.stm |title=Stalybridge beat Bloods to Roca |publisher=BBC Sport |date=17 August 2007 |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 12. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/Ex-Blues-Roca-on-move-to-Altrincham-e912d776-50ef-49f8-a0f6-d5399d776d1d-ds |title=Ex-Blues' Roca on move to Altrincham |newspaper=News & Star |location=Carlisle |date=4 March 2008 |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 13. ^1 {{cite web |url=http://fcunited.ru/en/player_stats/ |title=All time Players Statistics |website=FCUM in Russia |accessdate=13 August 2016}} Untick "including cup games" to see league-only stats. 14. ^1 {{cite web |url=http://www.chorleyfc.com/index.php/players-staff/the-first-team/76-people/players/924-carlos-roca |title=Carlos Roca |first=Mark |last=Locke |publisher=Chorley F.C. |accessdate=13 August 2016}} 15. ^1 {{cite web |url=https://int.soccerway.com/players/carlos-roca/35868/ |title=C.
