As of the 2010 census, its population was 780 and it contained 316 housing units.[3] HistoryCenter Township was organized in 1830.[4] The Center Township Grade and High School, Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's Home, and Jabez Reeves Farmstead are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[5] GeographyAccording to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of {{convert|36.58|sqmi}}, of which {{convert|36.55|sqmi}} (or 99.92%) is land and {{convert|0.03|sqmi}} (or 0.08%) is water.[3] Unincorporated towns
