He was also a playback singer at the start of his motion picture career. He has won a number of awards as best lyricist. Biography Chandrabose is from the village of Challagariga in the Warangal district in Telangana, where he completed high school.{{Citation needed|date=March 2010}} He earned a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. Early in his career, he tried working as a singer in Doordarshan, without success. He then decided to switch to working as a lyricist. His friend Srinath, who suggested the change, introduced him to the director Muppalaneni Shiva.{{Citation needed|date=March 2010}} Siva had already directed Gharana Alludu and was starting production on Taj Mahal. Music director M. M. Sreelekha helped him with his first movie song, "Manchu Kondalloni Chandramaa", in 1995. Chandrabose married Suchitra, a choreographer in the Telugu film industry.
