There are currently approximately 9,000 passenger trips at the Chemult facility each year, per the Oregon Dept. of Transportation.[3] It is not staffed and only consists of a platform structure and a warming shelter, which was replaced in 2010 with a larger structure. Trains must make a double stop at the station because the cement platform is so short.[3] The HighDesert POINT bus service offers connecting service to Bend, Oregon.[5] New stationA new Chemult station was built on the site in 2010.
