As of 1-1-2017, it had a population of 9 096 and an area of {{convert|81.2|km2|mi2}}.[1] The municipality of Cherasco contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Roreto, Bricco de' Faule, Veglia, Costa del Cappellazzo, San Bartolomeo, San Giovanni, and Sant'Antonino. Cherasco borders the following municipalities: Bra, Cavallermaggiore, Cervere, La Morra, Marene, Narzole, and Salmour. The Cherasco Synagogue in the old Jewish ghetto has a notable Baroque Torah ark and bimah.
