}} Chris Wilkinson is a British architect and founder of WilkinsonEyre.[1] In 1983, he set up Chris Wilkinson Architects, after forming a partnership with Jim Eyre in 1987 the practice was re-branded and established as WilkinsonEyre in 1999. Wilkinson has led the completion of various high-profile projects throughout his career at WilkinsonEyre, ranging from cultural to education to commercial. Key cultural projects include the Mary Rose Museum, Liverpool Arena and Convention Centre, RIBA Stirling Prize-winning Magna Centre and Waterfront Museum Swansea. Education projects include the Forum Project at University of Exeter and the new Earth Sciences building at Oxford University. Commercial projects include Crown Sydney Hotel, Guangzhou International Finance Center and Dyson Headquarters. In 2006, Wilkinson was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts, granted an Honorary Fellowship of the American Institute of Architecture in 2007 and has been awarded an OBE in the Millennium Honours List for his contribution to architecture. In addition to his practice work, Wilkinson has won multiple awards for his work with art and design. In 1996, he was named designer of the year by both the Design Council and FX.
