CareerWest Bromwich AlbionOn 24 July 2012, Yacob signed for Premier League club West Bromwich Albion.[3] He made his Premier League debut against Liverpool. During his debut he was awarded man of the match.[4] In a highly successful debut season, in which Yacob developed a strong midfield partnership with Youssouf Mulumbu, Yacob won the club's player of the month award for March 2013.[5] He scored his first goal for the club against Arsenal in the 2013–14 season, in a game that ended 1–1. On 10 July 2015, he signed a new two-year contract with the club keeping him at the Albion until Summer 2017.[6] On 29 September 2016 Yacob signed another extension to secure his future at the club. It was a two-year contract with an option of a further 12-months.[7] On 20 June 2018, it was announced that Yacob would leave West Brom upon the expiration of his contract.[8] Nottingham ForestOn 6 September 2018, Yacob signed with EFL Championship club Nottingham Forest on a 2-year deal.[9] Career statistics{{updated|19 January 2019}}[10]
Personal lifeWhen not playing football, Yacob enjoys playing the guitar and painting.
