It is found in the upper Amazon Basin in southern Colombia, eastern Ecuador, and San Martín Region of northern Peru.[1][2][3][4] It is sometimes known as the resplendent Cochran frog.[2] DescriptionMale measures about {{convert|27|mm|abbr=on}} in snout–vent length; female size is unknown. Dorsum is green with whitish dots.[4] Habitat and conservationThe species' natural habitats are lowland tropical primary and secondary rainforests as well as sub-Andean forests. It occurs on vegetation near running water. The eggs are laid on leaves above streams.
