Two singles, "Don't Argue" and "Here to Go", were released from the album. ContentAllMusic wrote that Code "finds Cabaret Voltaire at their loosest and most accessible", calling it "the closest thing CV ever made to a party record" and adding that it "[achieves] a genuine mechanistic funkiness reminiscent of late-'70s Kraftwerk".[1]The lyrics and title of "Don't Argue" incorporate verbatim a number of sentences from the narration of the 1945 short film Your Job in Germany, directed by Frank Capra. The film was aimed at American soldiers occupying Germany and strongly warned against trusting or fraternizing with German citizens.[2] Reception{{album ratings| rev1 = AllMusic | rev1score = {{rating|4|5}}[1] | rev2 = Rolling Stone | rev2score = {{rating|4|5}}[3] }}Rolling Stone wrote that Code "finds the ideal balance between accessibility and menace", calling it "perhaps the duo's most exhilirating work".[3] Track listing

Using stentorian words of advice lifted from a 1945 US army training film, Your Job in Germany, designed to teach GIs how to behave in occupied territory, "Don't Argue" ran counter to the prevailing mood of loved-up euphoria. "You will not be friendly," commanded this new voice of negative authority. "You will be aloof... watchful... suspicious." Blissed out and ready to hug anything in sight, the Stepford Ravers would have a hard time getting their heads around a message like that.}} 3. ^1 {{cite book |year=2004 |editor1-last=Brackett |editor1-first=Nathan |editor2-last=Hoard |editor2-first=Christian David |title=The New Rolling Stone Album Guide |publisher=Simon and Schuster |url=https://books.google.com.au/books?id=t9eocwUfoSoC&pg=PA128&dq=%22cabaret+voltaire%22+%22code%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwij4aDAguPeAhUaFHIKHQOVAAkQ6AEIKjAA#v=onepage&q=%22cabaret%20voltaire%22%20%22code%22&f=false |accessdate=21 November 2018}} External links
