释义 |
Cabaret Mechanical Theatre was started in 1979 in Falmouth, Cornwall, where Jackson encouraged local artists Peter Markey, Paul Spooner and Ron Fuller to manufacture automata for her craft shop, "Cabaret". The shop became an exhibition space[2] and the collection moved to Covent Garden, central London, in 1984,[2] remaining there until 2000[3] when rising rates forced it to close.[2] Part of the Cabaret Mechanical Theatre collection remains on display at the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.[4] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.midweekherald.co.uk/what-s-on/thg-to-take-a-curious-turn-with-mechanical-sculptures-in-honiton-1-5385780|title=THG to take a curious turn with mechanical sculptures in Honiton|first=Andrew|last=Coley|publisher=}} 2. ^1 2 3 {{cite web|url=https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2016/apr/25/sue-jackson-obituary|title=Sue Jackson obituary|first=Martin|last=Plimmer|date=25 April 2016|website=the Guardian}} 3. ^{{cite web| title=BBC – Radio 4 Woman's Hour – Cabaret Mechanical Theatre | url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/womanshour/04/2007_16_fri.shtml | publisher=BBC|accessdate=18 April 2016}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/cabaret-mechanical-theatre|title=Cabaret Mechanical Theatre|website=Atlas Obscura}} External links
