He played domestic cricket for Mashonaland and Midlands as well as the Zimbabwean national team. Currently he is self-employed in Zimbabwe and plays social cricket there. International careerWishart made his Test debut in 1995 in Harare. He has a Test record batting score of 114, with a 22.40 batting average, and a one-day record batting score of 172 not out, achieved against Namibia in the 2003 Cricket World Cup,[1] the sixth highest in World Cup history and the highest scored by a Zimbabwean player in ODIs.[2][3] Wishart retired in 2005, citing "stress from the problems in local cricket", and was one of a number of senior internationals to announce their retirements in protest of the local governing body's controversial decisions during the early 2000s.[4] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/149324.html |title=The perils of captaincy |work=ESPN Cricinfo |accessdate=14 January 2019}} 2. ^{{citenews|title=Zimbabwe beat Namibia and the weather|url=http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/story/126527.html|publisher=Cricinfo|date=10 February 2003}} 3. ^{{citenews|title=Wishart inspires Zimbabwe victory|url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/2395985/Wishart-inspires-Zimbabwe-victory.html|publisher=Daily Telegraph|date=10 February 2003}} 4. ^{{citenews|title=Wishart quits as problems grow|url=http://www.espncricinfo.com/zimbabwe/content/story/220608.html|publisher=Cricinfo|date=30 September 2005}} External links{{Zimbabwe Squad 2003 Cricket World Cup}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Wishart, Craig}} 14 : Zimbabwean cricketers|1974 births|Living people|Zimbabwe Test cricketers|Zimbabwe One Day International cricketers|Cricketers at the 2003 Cricket World Cup|Commonwealth Games competitors for Zimbabwe|Cricketers at the 1998 Commonwealth Games|Sportspeople from Harare|Mashonaland cricketers|Midlands cricketers|White Rhodesian people|White Zimbabwean sportspeople|Alumni of Falcon College |
