The plot of Croaked involves a group of loggers terrorized by a vicious half-man/half-frog creature. The film was distributed by Troma Entertainment. In his book All I Need to Know about Filmmaking I Learned from the Toxic Avenger, Troma president Lloyd Kaufman lists this film as one of the five best Troma films ever made (along with The Capture of Bigfoot, also directed by Bill Rebane).[1] Plot{{more plot|date=March 2016}}When a fortune is discovered at the bottom of a lake, a diver is out to get it, even when he discovers that the loot is being guarded by an awful underwater beast. Reception{{expand section|date=July 2018}}John Noonan from HorrorNews.net wrote, "By all accounts this should be a fun and frivolous massacred by Mother Nature genre of movie. Instead, even at an 86 minute running time, it feels like Croaked is charging through treacle towards a wholly unsurprising and unsatisfying ending."[3] References1. ^{{Cite book|url=https://www.worldcat.org/oclc/39622842|title=All I really need to know about filmmaking I learned from the toxic avenger|last=1945-|first=Kaufman, Lloyd,|date=1998|publisher=Berkley Boulevard Books|others=Gunn, James, 1966-|year=|isbn=0425163571|edition= Berkley Boulevard trade paperback |location=New York|pages=11|oclc=39622842}} 2. ^{{cite web|title=Rana: The Legend of Shadow Lake (1981) - Bill Rebane|url=http://www.allmovie.com/movie/rana-the-legend-of-shadow-lake-v40237/releases|website=AllMovie.com|publisher=AllMovie|accessdate=31 March 2016}} 3. ^{{cite web |last1=Noonan |first1=John |title=ilm Review: Croaked: Monster From Hell (1975) |url=http://horrornews.net/94007/film-review-croaked-monster-hell-1975/ |website=HorrorNews.net |publisher=John Noonan |accessdate=8 July 2018}} External links
