The population was 297 at the 2010 census, which lists the community as a census-designated place.[2] HistoryThe community was named for W. T. Cuyler, an early settler.[6] The hamlet is located on the site of Little Beard's Town, a large Seneca Indian village destroyed in the Sullivan Campaign. Mary Jemison, known as "the White Woman of the Genesee", lived here.[7] The National Hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.[8] Located near Cuylerville is the Boyd & Parker Park and Groveland Ambuscade, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.[9] GeographyReferences1. ^1 {{Cite GNIS|947974|Cuylerville|January 13, 2013}} 2. ^1 {{cite web |url= http://factfinder2.census.gov/bkmk/table/1.0/en/DEC/10_DP/DPDP1/1600000US3619510 |title= Cuylerville CDP, New York |work = Profile of General Population and Housing Characteristics: 2010 Demographic Profile Data |publisher= United States Census Bureau |accessdate= January 13, 2013 }} 3. ^ {{cite web |url= http://webpmt.usps.gov/pmt007.cfm?PostOfficeCounty=Livingston&stat_state_name=NEW%20YORK |title= Post Offices By County: Livingston County, New York |publisher= United States Postal Service |accessdate = January 13, 2013 }} 4. ^1 {{cite web |url=https://www.census.gov/geo/www/gazetteer/files/2010_place_list_36.txt |archive-url=https://archive.is/20130217141823/http://www.census.gov/geo/www/gazetteer/files/2010_place_list_36.txt |dead-url=yes |archive-date=February 17, 2013 |title=Places: New York |work=[https://www.census.gov/geo/maps-data/data/gazetteer2010.html 2010 Census Gazetteer Files] |publisher=United States Census Bureau |accessdate=January 13, 2013 }} 5. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://geonames.usgs.gov/fips55/NYfips55_delim.txt |title=FIPS55 Data: New York |work=[https://web.archive.org/web/20060613062013/http://geonames.usgs.gov/fips55.html FIPS55 Data] |publisher=United States Geological Survey |date=February 23, 2006 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20061019210044/http://geonames.usgs.gov/fips55/NYfips55_delim.txt |archivedate=October 19, 2006 }} 6. ^{{cite book | url=https://books.google.com/books?id=9V1IAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA98#v=onepage&q&f=false | title=The Origin of Certain Place Names in the United States | publisher=Govt.
