}}The David di Donatello Award for Best Film (Italian: David di Donatello per il miglior film) is a film award presented annually by the Accademia del Cinema Italiano (ACI, Academy of Italian Cinema) to recognize the most outstanding Italian film theatrically released in Italy during the year preceding the ceremony.[1][2] The award was first given in 1970, and became competitive in 1981.[1] Nominees and winners are selected via a runoff voting by all the members of the Accademia.[2][3] Winners and nomineesIn the list below, winners are listed first in the colored row, followed by the other nominees.[4] Table key | Indicates the winner. |
