In Homer's Odyssey, Demoptolemus {{IPAc-en|ˌ|d|ɛ|m|ə|p|ˈ|t|ɒ|l|ᵻ|m|ə|s}} (Δημοπτόλεμος) was one of the myriad suitors of the queen of Ithaca.[1] He met his end by the spear of Odysseus in the final stages of the battle in the hall of the latter's palace.[2] See also
