Diaea is a spider genus of the family Thomisidae (crab spiders).

Distribution

While most species are found in Africa, Asia and the Australian region, only two species are found in the Americas, D. seminola in the United States and D. spinosa in Colombia. In addition, D. livens occurs both in the United States and Central Europe. The only other species found in Europe is D. dorsata, which has a palearctic distribution.
