}} Dictyosiphonales is an order in the class Phaeophyceae (brown algae). Members of this order have a sporphytic thallus with true parenchyma formed by both longitudinal as well as a transverse cell division with a thallus that is solid, tubular flat, saccate, branched, or foliose. The Dictyosiphonales includes some common littoral seaweeds, but the members of the order generally have a relatively undifferentiated structure without the conventional construction of a holdfast, stipe, and lamina.[1] As their general name suggests their pigmentation is brown.
