Theatre - The Corn Mill Theatre & Arts Centre

In the centre of the town is the Corn Mill theatre which has an extensive and varied programme of entertainment from drama (amateur and professional) to variety shows, music and poetry. The tradition of Drama in Carrigallen goes back to the late 1800s. The present group was founded in 1963 as The Community Players and there has been no break in activity since that time. In 1989 the group opened their own theatre - The Corn Mill Theatre and Arts Centre. In that year the name of the group was changed to the Corn Mill Theatre Company. In 1999 major renovations took place when the foyer, new dressing rooms, rehearsal and storage areas were built.
