Don Nottoli is a supervisor of Sacramento County, California, having been a member of the board since November 1994. A Democrat, he served as chief of staff to his predecessor, Toby Johnson but began his career in public service in 1977 when he was elected to the Galt High School District Board, and then to the Galt City Council in 1978. In 1979 he accepted post with Supervisor Johnson. CareerDon has served five terms since being elected to represent the Fifth District in 1994. He represents the Fifth District which surrounds a 650 square mile area. The cities included in the Fifth district include: Elk Grove, Galt, Isleton and Rancho Cordova.[1] A significant portion of the Fifth District is unincorporated, rural communities. The Fifth District is also known to be the most ethnically diverse in the county[2]. Don works with the people who reside in the Fifth District by addressing them on a variety of local issues related to roads, traffic, drainage, water supply, land use, health programs, social services, law enforcement, recreational programs, cultural programs, the county budget and programs helping children, families and seniors.[1] Throughout his long career as a County Supervisor, Don Nottoli has served on numerous boards and commissions including: the Delta Protection Commission, Delta Stewardship Council, Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency, Sacramento Cable Commission, Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District, Sacramento Public Library Authority, Solid Waste Authority, Sacramento Transportation Authority, Basinwide Air Pollution Control Council, Sacramento Regional Transit District, and the Sacramento Adult and Aging Commission, among others. FamilyDon is married to Brenda and the two reside in rural Sacramento County.[1] EducationDon attended a local high school in Sacramento County and obtained his bachelor's degree in Government/Journalism from California State University, Sacramento.[1] External links
