As of December 31, 2016, it had a population of 2,082 and an area of {{convert|21.5|km2|mi2}}.[1] The municipality of Drapia contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Brattirò, Carìa, Gàsponi, and Sant'Angelo. Drapia borders the following municipalities: Parghelia, Ricadi, Spilinga, Tropea, Zaccanopoli, Zungri.
