Their repertoire includes music and songs from across the Europe. The name of the ensemble refers to a droll, a short comical sketch of a type that originated during the Puritan Interregnum in England. Though mainly focused on European music, Drolls also have Russian music of the 11th-18th centuries in their repertoire. The idea came to them when members of the ensemble participated in the screening of “Alexander. Nevskaya Bitva” movie, in which Drolls played skomorokhs and took part in recording music for the movie. In December 2007 Drolls presented their new concert program "Люди Веселы" (Skomorokhs) in Moscow. Members
