It features a "power combining system" which was very new for the genre at that time. This system allows players to create their own fighting style. Characters include ninjas, knights, and American adventurers, an Ottoman warrior named Efe and Nagasapa, an innocent-looking old lady who is in fact a Khazak sorceress. A sequel, Slashers: The Power Battle, made by Stun Games was released in 2013.[2] {{clear}}Reception{{Video game reviews| MC = 61/100[3] | Fam = 21/40[4] | GSpot = 7/10[5] | GSpy = {{Rating|2|5}}[6] | GameZone = 8.5/10[7] | IGN = 5.5/10[8] | NP = 3.2/5[9] }}Dual Blades received "mixed" reviews according to the review aggregation website Metacritic.[3] In Japan, Famitsu gave it a score of one five, one four, and two sixes for a total of 21 out of 40.[4]{{clear}} References1. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.gamezone.com/news/gz_interview_get_ready_for_intense_fighting_with_metro3d_s_dual_blades_for_the_game_boy_advance | title=Get ready for intense fighting with Metro3D’s Dual Blades for the Game Boy Advance | last=Lafferty | first=Michael | publisher=GameZone | date=July 30, 2002 | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20080307115528/http://gameboy.gamezone.com/news/07_30_02_09_44AM.htm | archivedate=March 7, 2008 | deadurl=no | accessdate=October 22, 2017}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.giantbomb.com/slashers-the-power-battle/3030-45741/ |title=Slashers: The Power Battle |website=Giant Bomb |accessdate=July 20, 2018}} 3. ^1 {{cite web | url=http://www.metacritic.com/game/game-boy-advance/dual-blades | title=Dual Blades for Game Boy Advance Reviews | publisher=Metacritic | accessdate=April 22, 2012}} 4. ^1 {{cite web | url=http://www.gametavern.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4120 | title=New Famitsu Scores including Eternal Arcadia | publisher=GameTavern | date=December 19, 2002 | accessdate=October 22, 2017}} 5. ^{{cite web | url=https://www.gamespot.com/reviews/dual-blades-review/1900-2895267/ | title=Dual Blades Review | last=Provo | first=Frank | publisher=GameSpot | date=October 21, 2002 | accessdate=October 22, 2017}} 6. ^{{cite web | url=http://gba.gamespy.com/gameboy-advance/dual-blades/564965p1.html | title=GameSpy: Dual Blades | last=Meston | first=Zach | publisher=GameSpy | date=December 3, 2002 | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20060208115223/http://gba.gamespy.com/gameboy-advance/dual-blades/564965p1.html | archivedate=February 8, 2006 | deadurl=yes | accessdate=October 22, 2017}} 7. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.gamezone.com/reviews/dual_blades_gba_review | title=Dual Blades - GBA - Review | last=Lafferty | first=Michael | publisher=GameZone | date=September 26, 2002 | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20081005083641/http://gameboy.gamezone.com/gzreviews/r19624_GBA.htm | archivedate=October 5, 2008 | deadurl=no | accessdate=October 23, 2017}} 8. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.ign.com/articles/2002/11/01/dual-blades | title=Dual Blades | last=Harris | first=Craig | publisher=IGN | date=November 1, 2002 | accessdate=October 22, 2017}} 9. ^{{cite magazine | title=Dual Blades | magazine=Nintendo Power | volume=165 | date=February 2003 | page=161}} External links
