Its presence in Afghanistan and India is doubtful.[1]][ Common names olive toad, Baluchistan coastal toad, Baluchestan coastal toad, and Makran toad have been coined for it.][Duttaphrynus olivaceus occurs in areas where water is available, such as irrigated land, springs, oases, and other types of wetlands at elevations below {{convert|700|m|abbr=on}}. Breeding takes place in ponds and oases. The surrounding habitat is mostly semi-desert with date palms.[1]Duttaphrynus olivaceus is an adaptable species that often depends on human-made habitats. It can be locally common. Pollution, habitat alteration, and droughts are localized threats.[1]]References1. ^1 2 3 4 {{cite journal | author = Matthias Stöck | author2 = Muhammad Sharif Khan | author3 = Theodore Papenfuss | author4 = Steven Anderson | author5 = Sergius Kuzmin | author6 = Nasrullah Rastegar-Pouyani | author7 = Sushil Dutta | author8 = Annemarie Ohler | author9 = Saibal Sengupta | author10 = Steven Anderson |last-author-amp=yes | title = Duttaphrynus olivaceus | journal = IUCN Red List of Threatened Species | volume= 2010 | page = e.T54721A11193040 | year = 2010 | url = https://www.iucnredlist.org/species/54721/11193040 | doi = 10.2305/IUCN.UK.2009.RLTS.T54721A11193040.en | accessdate = 3 November 2018}}
