It is endemic to western Cuba and known from the Sierra de los Órganos and the Sierra del Rosario, in the Pinar del Río and Artemisa provinces.[2] Its natural habitats are rock crevices and caves in mesic broadleaf forests in limestone areas. It is threatened by habitat loss and disturbance associated with tourism.[1] References1. ^1 {{Cite journal | author = Hedges, B. | author2 = Díaz, L. | last-author-amp = yes | title = Eleutherodactylus zeus | journal = The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species | volume = 2004 | page = e.T57065A11576165 | publisher = IUCN | date = 2004 | url = http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/57065/0 | doi = 10.2305/IUCN.UK.2004.RLTS.T57065A11576165.en | access-date = 14 January 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q923969}}{{Eleutherodactylus-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |url=http://research.amnh.org/vz/herpetology/amphibia/Amphibia/Anura/Eleutherodactylidae/Eleutherodactylinae/Eleutherodactylus/Eleutherodactylus-zeus |title=Eleutherodactylus zeus Schwartz, 1958 |author=Frost, Darrel R. |year=2015 |work=Amphibian Species of the World: an Online Reference.
