Ephes Dammim, meaning "border of blood," ({{bibleverse|1 Samuel|17:1|KJV}}) or Pas Dammim ({{bibleverse|1 Chronicles|11:13|KJV}}) is a biblical place name. Mentioned in the Bible, a place in the tribe of Judah where the Philistines camped when David fought with Goliath (1 Samuel {{bibleverse-nb|1 Samuel|17:1|KJV}}). Probably so called as having been the scene of frequent bloody conflicts between Israel and the Philistines. Its location has not been identified with any certainty.[1] References1. ^{{cite book|author=David Toshio Tsumura|title=The First Book of Smauel|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=iLKAlhLDkMwC&pg=PA438|date=15 March 2007|publisher=Wm.
