The magazine publishes literary work, poetry, short stories, articles, book reviews, essays, interviews, art, photography, and more from contributors around the world. History and affiliationThe magazine's longest-serving publisher and executive editor was Edward Fenner (April 26, 2007 to August 31, 2018). Mr. Fenner, a Vanier College Fellow, revived the journal and began releasing new issues semi-annually beginning in September 2007. The journal was established at York University's Vanier College and has been funded by Vanier College Council since the journal was founded in 1978.[1] It largely published as a quarterly, but since 2007 has published bi-annually. In 2018 it moved to Founders College and became affiliated with York University's Professional Writing Program in the Writing Department. Existere has appeared in many shapes and forms since its conception in 1978, but has ultimately retained a 6x9” format since Edward Fenner revived it in 2007. It prints anywhere from 80 to 100 pages, with full-colour covers.[2]The magazine's current executive editor is Lauren Dick. She replaces Mustapha Safadieh. DigitizationExistere is now digitally published, and can be purchased online from Kobo for $0.99 CAD or 2400 Kobo points.
