Geli Ali Beg Waterfall is located in Iraqi Kurdistan, which lies in the mountainous northern part of the country in the Kurdistan Region, some 130 km north of Arbil.

This waterfall is a popular destination for many visitors and tourists across the country.

It featured on the 5-dinar note issued 1978–1990.
