Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. It lies approximately {{convert|6|km|mi|0}} south of Mirsk, {{convert|26|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south-west of Lwówek Śląski, and {{convert|118|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} west of the regional capital Wrocław.
