It is situated in the Pančevo municipality, in the South Banat District, Vojvodina province. The village has a Serb ethnic majority and its population numbering 3,012 people (2011 census). The place name means location of crataegus. HistoryTopographic historyIn 1911, the Orthodox church Assumption of Lord's Mother was built. Before completion of the church, the Orthodox residents had to go to the church of the competent parish community in Sefkerin.[1] Historical Population
