释义 |
In 1973, the Gnadinger family heard the German-Paristown Neighborhood Association in Louisville’s Germantown neighborhood was seeking recreational space. After meeting with members of the nearby St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, the Louisville Board of Aldermen, the Louisville Parks Department and the Louisville Development Cabinet, the seven Gnadinger family heirs and spouses agreed to transfer the property to the then City of Louisville.[3] Gnadinger Park was dedicated on April 7, 1977 with Louisville Mayor Harvey I. Sloane officiating. During the dedication, each Gnadinger family member was given a gold “Key to the City” pin.[4][5] References1. ^{{cite web |url=http://gardenrant.com/2013/06/bless-all-parks-big-and-small.html |title=Bless All Parks Big and Small |access-date=January 3, 2018}} 2. ^{{cite book |last=Gnadinger Sr |first=Norbert E. |date=2013 |title=Norb's Memoirs: Better Late Than Never |url= |location= |publisher=Dog Ear Publishing, LLC |page= |isbn=978-1457522932 |author-link= }} 3. ^{{cite news |author=Martha Elson |title=‘Norb’s Memoirs’ traces Gnadinger history in Germantown |url=https://www.newspapers.com/image/182119532 |newspaper=The Courier Journal |location=Louisville, Kentucky |date=April 4, 2014 |access-date=January 3, 2018 }} 4. ^{{cite news |author=Bob Hill |title=Close Knit Family Likely to Sit Tight in Gnadinger Park |url=https://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/history/river-city-retro/2014/04/04/norbs-memoirs-traces-gnadinger-history-germantown/7305123/ |newspaper=The Courier Journal |location=Louisville, Kentucky |date=September 18, 2007 |access-date=January 3, 2018 }} 5. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.gpnalouisville.com/gpna-news-archive-2/articles-of-interest/8-the-story-of-gnadinger-park/file |title=The Story of Gnadinger Park |access-date=January 3, 2018}} See also
