Government High School for Boys, Salarwala, was established as a junior Anglo-vernacular school in 1920. It was promoted to its current high school status in 1937. A degree college is currently under construction. The school has 3,000 enrolled. HistoryFounded in 1920 and promoted to a high school in 1937, the school was formerly under the auspices of the District Board Faisalabad: the letters 'DB' still appear on the face of the old science room. The school was nationalized under Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's policy of nationalization. Until 1970, the school had a hostel for boys who lived too far away to commute.
