Gozdnica {{IPAc-pl|g|o|z|d|'|ń|i|c|a}} ({{lang-de|Freiwaldau}}) is a town in Żagań County, Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland, with 3,804 inhabitants (2004).

Situated close to Lower Silesian Voivodeship, {{convert|25|km|2|abbr=on}} na north-west of Żagań and {{convert|15|km|2|abbr=on}} east of Przewóz. Voivodeship roads number 300 and 350 are passing through Gozdnica.

Until 1372 the town was in Poland, from 1372 to 1526 within the Kingdom of Bohemia and until World War II in Germany. After 1945 the native German population was expelled and replaced with Poles from the Eastern Borderlands, which were annexed by the Soviet Union.
