The competition was organised by the Hellenic Handball Federation since 1981. The first winner was Aris Nikaias in 1982. Anagennisi Artas holds the record of cups won with twelve consecutive titles between 1995 and 2006. Ormi Patras was the team that put an end to that domination by winning the title on May 26, 2007. The current title was won by OF Nea Ionia for three consecutive season.[1] List of championsPanhellenic ChampionshipSeason | Champion | 1982 | Aris Nikaias | 1983 | Aris Nikaias | 1984 | Aris Nikaias | 1985 | Aris Nikaias | 1986 | Athinaikos | 1987 | Athinaikos | 1988 | GE Veria | 1989 | GE Veria | 1990 | GE Veria | 1991 | GE Veria | 1992 | GE Veria | 1993 | GE Veria | | A1 EthnikiSeason | Champion | |
